MIAMI: The 2026 FIFA World Cup has reached its final four with France, Spain, England and defending champions Argentina advancing to the semifinals after a series of dramatic quarterfinal encounters.
The original field of 48 nations has now been narrowed to the last four, with the semifinal matches scheduled for July 14 and 15. The winners will secure a place in the FIFA World Cup final as the tournament enters its decisive stage.
The first semifinal will take place on Tuesday when France faces Spain at Dallas Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT. France secured its place with a 2-0 victory over Morocco, courtesy of second-half goals from Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé. Spain, meanwhile, edged Belgium 2-1 after goals from Fabián Ruiz and a late winner from Mikel Merino.

The second semifinal is set for Wednesday, July 15, with England taking on Argentina at Atlanta Stadium. The match will also kick off at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT.
England advanced after beating Norway 2-1 in extra time. Jude Bellingham equalized just before halftime before scoring the winner in the 93rd minute after Andreas Schjelderup had given Norway an early lead.

Argentina, the reigning world champions, secured a 3-1 extra-time victory over Switzerland. Alexis Mac Allister opened the scoring before Switzerland leveled through Dan Ndoye. Julián Álvarez and Lautaro Martínez both struck in extra time to send Lionel Messi and Argentina into another World Cup semifinal.
With four of international football’s biggest nations remaining, the semifinals promise two blockbuster encounters as teams battle for a coveted place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final. France will look to continue its impressive run, Spain aims to add another world title to its history, England seeks its first final since 1966, while Argentina hopes to defend its World Cup title.
