IAMBIG gathering brings together members of Congress and business leaders to celebrate the nation’s founding ideals and Indian Americans’ growing contributions.
The Indian American Business Impact Group (IAMBIG) celebrated America’s 250th birthday in memorable fashion on Wednesday, unveiling a 250-pound red, white, and blue cake at a gathering in suburban Washington.
The event, held at the Marriott in Tysons, Virginia, brought together prominent Indian American business leaders and political figures, including former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe and Reps. Shri Thanedar (D-Mich.) and Suhas Subramanyam (D-Va.).
Addressing the gathering, the two members of Congress reflected on the significance of America’s 250th anniversary and the Indian American community’s contributions to the nation’s growth and prosperity. They also spoke about the country’s founding ideals, the spirit of entrepreneurship, and the expanding role of Indian Americans in shaping America’s future.
The dignitaries were welcomed by IAMBIG Founder and President Ravi Puli, who also introduced McAuliffe.
Puli, president and CEO of International Solutions Group (ISG), highlighted the Indian American community’s contributions not only to the nation’s past and present but also to its future. Looking ahead to the country’s 500th anniversary, he said, when we celebrate America’s 500th birthday 250 years from now, our work will endure.
Former Ohio State Sen. Niraj Antani also addressed the gathering.
