The selected cohort will draw participants from six countries, such as the U.S., Canada, UK, UAE, Singapore, and Australia. The program is part of Indiaspora’s efforts to engage the next generation of the global Indian community and create meaningful opportunities for young diaspora members to connect with India, their heritage and one another with a hope of participants developing a stronger understanding of their roots and a lasting friendship.
Sanjeev Joshipura, executive director of indiaspora, said: “Heritage Connect is about making the connection to India real for the next generation—giving young people the opportunity to experience India for themselves, build friendships with peers who share their story and discover a connection that can stay with them for life.”
