Global manufacturing innovation and operational leadership took center stage as North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management honored Joydeep Ganguly with its Professional Achievement Award during its second annual Impact Awards.
The Oct. 1. event, emceed by Poole alumna Lyndenise Berdecía Rivera, brought together university leaders, corporate partners, and alumni to celebrate individuals whose accomplishments advance the college’s mission and shape modern industry standards.
Ganguly, an NC State MBA graduate, serves as Chief Operations and Quality Officer at Agilent Technologies, where he oversees end-to-end execution for a $7B+ revenue enterprise, managing a global network of 23+ advanced manufacturing sites while leading critical supply chain, product engineering, and quality functions serving customers across 110 countries.

His extensive career includes prominent leadership positions at Gilead Sciences and Biogen, defined by a leadership philosophy balancing technical precision with organizational agility.
His work has garnered significant industry recognition, including multiple patents and four World Economic Forum Lighthouse awards for manufacturing sites operating under his direct leadership.
In addition to his corporate achievements, Ganguly has contributed to social impact as a past board chair of the Gilead Foundation and a past board member for the Biogen Foundation, focusing on strategic philanthropy and health prosperity.

Beyond his executive responsibilities, Ganguly remains deeply engaged with his alma mater by serving on NC State’s Operations and Technology Program Advisory Council, where he helps guide and mentor the next generation of business leaders.
