U.S. news anchor Savannah Guthrie has announced that her family is offering $1 million for information leading to the return of her 84-year-old mother.
“It is day 24 since our mom was taken in the dark of night from her bed,” the Today show cohost said in an Instagram video. “And every hour and minute and second and every long night has been agony since then of worrying for her, fearing for her, aching for her, and most of all just missing her, just missing her.”
Guthrie added that the family was holding out hope that Nancy Guthrie would be found alive, but she acknowledged that she might be dead.
“We still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home,” Savannah Guthrie said. “We also know that she may be lost. She may already be gone.”

“If this is what is to be, then we will all accept it,” Guthrie added. “But we need to know where she is. For that reason, we are offering a familial reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads us to her recovery.”
Nancy Guthrie was last seen at around 9:45 p.m. on Jan. 31, when she was dropped off at her home in the Catalina Foothills north of Tucson, Ariz., by family members following dinner, police said. She was reported missing around noon the next day after she did not show up at a friend’s house to watch an online church service.
Authorities are waiting for results from an analysis of partial DNA recovered from Nancy Guthrie’s home. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said that “this will remain an active investigation until Nancy Guthrie is found or all leads are exhausted,” in a statement on Saturday.

Guthrie was reported missing around midday on 1 February after she did not show up for church services. The family has made several public pleas for her safe return, and asked for proof that she is alive.
Nancy Guthrie has difficulty walking, has a pacemaker and needs daily medication for a heart condition, authorities have said. Investigators have released pictures of the prime suspect, a man captured on Nancy Guthrie’s Nest doorbell camera.
Officials say they have received tens of thousands of tips since the investigation into her disappearance began.
