Indian American engineer Hari Reddy has become the Chief Product Officer at GAF, leading roofing and waterproofing manufacturer in North America, marking a significant leadership change as the company strengthens its product, innovation, and technology agenda.
An Osmania University, India, graduate, Reddy leads enterprise-wide product strategy and product management, aligning innovation, R&D, and commercialization to support GAF’s long-term growth and market leadership, Parsippany, New Jersey-based company announced.
Prior to this appointment, Reddy served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at GAF, where he spent over three years shaping the company’s technology and innovation roadmap.

During this period, he played a central role in advancing R&D capabilities, accelerating innovation cycles, and strengthening the integration between technology, manufacturing, and product development.
Before joining GAF, Reddy held senior leadership roles at Amcor, where he served as Vice President, R&D and Product Management, leading product management, innovation, and application development for a multi-billion-dollar regional business.
His earlier tenure at Bemis Company, Inc. saw him build and lead world-class teams of product managers, scientists, and engineers, delivering differentiated packaging solutions and driving sustained margin and product vitality growth across North American markets.

Reddy’s global leadership experience also includes senior R&D and general management roles at Ecolab and Nalco, where he led profit-and-loss responsibilities and established advanced R&D capabilities across the energy and industrial water treatment sectors, particularly in Asia.
He began his career with Dow, spending over a decade in R&D leadership roles across the United States and China, contributing to global expansion initiatives and the commercialization of advanced building and materials solutions across multiple industries.
A Mechanical Engineering graduate from Osmania University, India, Reddy holds a PhD in Materials Engineering & Science from Virginia Tech and has completed Executive Leadership in Strategy and Innovation at MIT Sloan School of Management.
